This is a wonderful First Nations profile of Kath Walker; a proud Noonuccal woman who enlisted into the Australian Women’s Army Service (AWAS) in WWll. After the war, Kath became the first Aboriginal Australian to publish a book of verse and is famously known as a poet, writer and activist under her traditional First Nations name of Oodgeroo Noonuccal.
